Let’s face it, building your business is not easy. Whether you have a “brick and mortar” business or a home based business, competition is fierce. If you are notably online you get multiple pitches each day for some type of business opportunity. Not only do you get personal pitches, but you also have heard or seen more opportunities than stars in the sky (o.k. that may be a slight exaggeration). My point is, if you are attempting to build a business just like everybody else, what makes you stand out from everyone else?
I’ll give you one tip….it’s not the company’s compensation plan. If you think that will be the deciding factor please wake up. I am now sounding the alarm clock people. WAKE UP!
If 100 business owners are in one room, the one business owner that offers the most value wins. Quick example…. If my 4 year old had his way , I would have to stop at McDonalds every single day. There are several other places he is aware that we can eat. However he insists on McDonalds simply because he likes the toys in the Happy Meals. He perceives the Happy Meal as something of value. In his mind the food alone is not the deciding factor,. It’s the combination of the food and the great toy.
If you were introducing me to your business opportunity, what thing of value would you offer me that is not offered by everybody else within your company?
If your answer is “nothing “or “I don’t know” you are just like the other 99 business owners in the room and you look just like everybody else.
The key to building your business is being able to set yourself apart from the masses. Find something you are comfortable offering on a consistent basis that will bring your potential business partner value and watch your business go the next level.
